Welcome to MSA′s home on the web!

Matthews Softball Association is a non-profit association, operated by volunteers, and funded by MSA participants, sponsors, and various community organizations. MSA is dedicated to providing both recreational and competitive fast pitch softball programs for girls in Matthews, NC and the surrounding area. Our overall mission is to provide a safe and rewarding program where every girl has the opportunity to improve her skills in softball. The goals of MSA are for girls to have fun, learn the importance of competing and participating on a team, develop good sportsmanship, and obtain a more rounded sense of well being. Every decision made by Matthews Softball Association will be accomplished with a complete focus and dedication on improving the program for the girls and the girls only!

Peanuts at CMS

In the past we have seen peanut shells at the fields that we play. This is not allowed at CMS fields. We were told that one of the players at Providence High School has a severe allergy to peanuts and we are requesting that no peanuts be brought to any of the fields that we play.

Opening Day

Dear MSA family,

Every year since MSA's existence, we've had an opening day ceremony. Many of you have invested countless hours making our Opening Day celebration very special and fun. We thank you very much for those contributions. We could not have made it happen without you.

However, almost every year we always run into cold or bad weather due to the time of the season. If it is too cold or raining, even worse cold and raining, we lose attendance, participation, and volunteers. Therefore this year we would like to change it up a little. We would like to expand our efforts into the End of Spring Season Party. The weather will be much nicer in May...hotter but much nicer.

We would like to try this one time and see how you like it. We welcome and encourage your feed back at any time. The board is constantly trying to make our program a better experience for all our MSA families. In fact, we would love for those of you who love our organization to get more involved. Come to a board meeting and listen in. Maybe you have an idea that will improve the way we do things. Maybe some of you will feel inclined to join the board and support our organization in a greater role.
